THE PRINTS — WHY THEY MATTER

Print is where cotton tops earn their keep, and not 
all prints are equal.

Ikat is woven before it is stitched. The soft-edged 
pattern you see is a property of the yarn itself — 
not something printed on top of a finished fabric. 
It does not crack, fade, or peel the way surface 
prints do after repeated washing. The Indigo Ikat 
Print Cotton Top and the Black & White Ikat Print

Ajrakh is resist-dyed block work from the artisan 
tradition of Kutch and Sindh. The deep indigo and 
madder red palette comes from natural dyes applied 
through a process of repeated resist and dye baths. 
The Indigo Ajrakh Print Pleated Cotton Top and the 
Red Ajrakh Buta Print Cotton Top are the two purest 
examples in this collection.

Floral block prints follow the same principle — 
hand-blocked on fabric before cutting, so the repeat 
is slightly imperfect in the way that only handmade 
work is. The Powder Blue Floral Cotton Top and the 
Green Floral Print Cotton Top are the softest, most 
everyday choices.

HOW TO STYLE YOUR COTTON TOP OR TUNIC

The beauty of the tunic length is that it works 
three ways without trying:

→ Daily wear — straight-leg jeans or slim trousers
